Kampong Law provides legal services in three practice areas: Commercial Litigation Advisory, Arbitration Representation, and Mediation & Settlement Negotiation. Services are available to businesses and individuals with commercial disputes that have a connection to Singapore. Geographic restrictions may apply to certain aspects of cross-border representation.

5. User Responsibilities

7. Payment Terms

Fees for legal services are set out in the relevant engagement letter. Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Fees are denominated in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Kampong Law accepts payment by bank transfer. Where payment is not received on time, we reserve the right to suspend services and to charge interest at the rate applicable under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act or such rate as is agreed in the engagement letter.

Starting fees for our services are: Mediation & Settlement Negotiation from SGD 480; Arbitration Representation from SGD 1,380; Commercial Litigation Advisory from SGD 1,500. Scope-specific fees are set out in engagement letters.

8. Refund and Cancellation

Where a client wishes to disengage Kampong Law before a matter is concluded, we require notice in writing. Fees for work already completed and disbursements incurred are not refundable. Any amount paid in advance beyond that will be returned within 14 days of the conclusion of our engagement.

9. Disclaimers

Legal outcomes cannot be predicted with certainty and nothing in our advice or on this Website should be read as a prediction of outcome. Our services are provided in good faith based on the information available to us at the time. We make no representation that legal services will achieve any particular result.

This Website is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to our services shall not exceed the fees paid by you to us in connection with the specific matter to which the claim relates. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from our services or from reliance on Website content.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Kampong Law against any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms or from your misuse of this Website.

12. Termination

We may terminate our engagement with a client on reasonable notice where there is a conflict of interest, where a client has provided materially incorrect information, where fees remain unpaid, or where we are required to do so by applicable professional conduct rules. Either party may terminate an engagement by written notice. Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to mediation in Singapore. If mediation fails, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

14. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms and any engagement letter together constitute the full agreement between the parties on their subject matter.
• Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute waiver of the right to enforce it in future.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our website or services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
